The Town of Romney are frequent participants of the CommuniTree program. On the rainy day of October 12, 2023, Town of Romney employees planted 16 flowering trees at Depot Station Park. This planting was a continuation of one from Spring 2023 with the goal of beautifying the town’s only green space.
Project Leader, Mayor Beverly Keadle described that “the Town employees who planted, worked together, enjoyed the camaraderie, the beautiful fall weather, followed planting instructions, and did a great job.” It can’t get much better than that!
Although the unpredictable Fall weather prevented the community from participating in the planting, they will certainly enjoy the trees at the Town’s new and developing park. It was another successful tree planting in the books for the Town of Romney!
