The Deerfield Village HOA hosted their 9th CommuniTree project on Saturday, April 10, 2021. A total of 42 volunteers contributed 157 volunteer hours to plant the 24 native trees throughout the entrance of the Deerfield Village Subdivision located just outside of Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
Longtime Deerfield Village project leader, Bill Sturtevant, was thrilled to see so many community residents come out and assist with improving the local landscape while learning about stormwater management, environmental air quality, noise abatement, and other benefits of planting trees.
After the planting was complete, community members were delighted to receive positive comments about the newest planting and the improvement of the appearance of the subdivision.
