The Beallair Manor Community Members hosted their first CommuniTree project on Saturday, September 30, 2023. A total of 38 volunteers contributed 230 volunteer hours to plant 16 native trees alongside a stream in the neighborhood, which is located in Charles Town, West Virginia.
Project leader, Charlie Linaburg, noted that the tree planting was a culmination of robust efforts by the neighborhood to improve the stream bank, control erosion, support bird habitat, and more. He explains “the community has shared many comments about how nice the plantings look and volunteers are already expressing interest in the next planting.”
