Cacapon Institute believes strongly in partnerships and invests in information sharing, and regional efforts to protect rivers and watersheds.
We partner wherever possible to maximize output. Some of our strongest partners are:
- Potomac Watershed Partnership. Since 2006, CI has been a member of the “PWP,” a USDA Forest Service inspired collaborative of federal, state, and local agencies, non-profits, and citizen-volunteers working to protect the lands and waters of the Potomac Basin.
- WV Potomac Tributaries Strategies Team. CI is a founding member of the WV Chesapeake Bay Program. The “Trib Team” is the leadership of WV’s Potomac and Chesapeake Bay restoration efforts and staffed by WV DEP, Division of Forestry, Conservation Agency, Department of Agriculture, Region 9 Economic Development Authority and experts in conservation.
- West Virginia Rivers Coalition. As a member of “WV Rivers,” CI contributes to local, county, and state-wide efforts to protect and restore West Virginia’s most precious commodity, our water.
