Cacapon River Watershed Advisory Council

The Watershed Advisory Council, a diverse group of community members which the Institute helped found, completed two major projects. The first project was the installation of attractive roadside signs calling the attention of motorists to the fact that they have entered the Cacapon River watershed and asking them to cherish and protect it. The Councilís second project was a pilot well water testing project. Seventy eight wells in the Cacaponís Hampshire and Hardy county watershed area were tested for bacterial and chemical contamination.
